Turkish marble basins and best-known selections

Turkish marble is not one product but several distinct quarry basins, each with its own colour family. Knowing the basin tells you what to expect from the block:

Container maths and Incoterms for marble

Marble is denser than travertine (about 2.7 t/m³), so tonnage — not volume — fills the box. A 2 cm slab weighs roughly 55 kg/m²: a 20ft container carries 26–27 tonnes, which works out to roughly 450–500 m² of 2 cm material or 7–9 slab bundles on steel A-frames. Tiles travel strapped and shrink-wrapped on fumigated pallets. Terms are your choice: FOB Izmir / Mersin if your forwarder books the ocean leg, CIF destination port if we arrange freight and insurance, or DDP delivered to your warehouse with duties paid.

Marble Wholesale for Importers & Distributors

We supply wholesale marble to importers, distributors, fabricators and project contractors worldwide. As a Turkish marble exporter working directly with quarries in the Marmara and Afyon regions, we offer white marble (including Marmara White), Emperador Light, black and colored varieties from our marble collection — as blocks, polished slabs and cut-to-size tiles.

Export packaging and container loading: slabs travel on steel A-frames or in reinforced bundles, tiles in ISPM-15 fumigated wooden crates with foam and corner protection — packaging engineered for marble export, not generic freight. A 20ft container typically loads 24–27 tonnes; we also build mixed containers combining marble with travertine or limestone. Request a container-load quotation, or compare materials first in our travertine vs marble guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Popular options include Marmara White, Mugla White, Afyon White and Sugar, Bursa Beige and Emperador-type brown marbles, alongside travertine and limestone. We can match a specific colour or vein pattern from active quarries.

All three. We supply quarry blocks, gangsaw and cut-to-size slabs in 2 cm and 3 cm thickness, and calibrated tiles with polished, honed, brushed or tumbled finishes to your specification.

Orders typically start at one 20-foot container, about 20 to 22 tons. Full-container and mixed-container loads are both available, and the MOQ is confirmed per product in your quotation.

Marble is a natural material, so lots vary. We produce from the same block or quarry lot where possible, send pre-shipment photos, and keep control samples so what you approve is what ships.

We work with EXW, FOB, CIF and DAP under Incoterms 2020. Payment is usually a bank wire, T/T, as an advance plus balance, or a letter of credit; card payment through iyzico is available for samples and smaller amounts.
