Importing natural stone from Turkey is straightforward once you understand the five moving parts: MOQ, payment, Incoterms, shipping and customs.

1. MOQ

For heavy goods like stone, MOQ is usually “one container” because part-loads are uneconomic. Ask for price at 1×, 5× and 10× MOQ to find volume breaks.

2. Payment terms

We accept international bank transfer (SWIFT). Card payment via Stripe will be added soon. Payment details and schedule are stated on the proforma invoice. Never pay a supplier before you have a proforma invoice.

3. Incoterms

FOB (you arrange freight, cheapest/most control), CIF (supplier covers freight+insurance to your port), DDP (delivered to your door). New importers often start CIF and move to FOB.

4. Shipping & containers

A 20′ container carries ~28 tonnes; for dense stone you hit the weight limit before volume. Plan MOQ around weight.

5. Customs & documents

Commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin (EUR.1/A.TR for EU), correct HS code, plus CE/test reports. Confirm the HS code and duty rate before ordering.
